PvZ Fusion Tier List 4.0.5 – Best Fusion Plants Ranked
Not every fusion is worth your sun. This PvZ Fusion tier list ranks the strongest fusion plants for version 4.0.5 from S (best) to D (skip), with a one-line reason for each. Stats come from the PvZ Fusion Wiki almanac data; the rankings combine those numbers with what experienced players report in community tier lists. A tier
Excellent picks that carry most levels.
| Plant | Recipe | Key stats | Why this tier |

B tier
Dependable workhorses for economy, damage and defense.
| Plant | Recipe | Key stats | Why this tier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Peashooter + Sunflower | 150 sun · 25 sun / 25s | Sun and damage in one tile; the backbone of an early economy (wiki name: Sunshooter). | |
| Sunflower + Sunflower | 100 sun · 50 sun / 20s | Simple, reliable day sun production that many players still prefer. | |
| Peashooter + Doom-shroom | 300 sun day / 225 night · 40→60 damage | Damage and fire rate ramp up over time (down to 0.25s per shot). | |

| Wall-nut + Blover | 150 sun · 4,000 toughness · regenerates | Blocks projectiles and pushes zombies back (wiki name: Float-nut). |
C tier
Good in a niche; not a general pick.
| Plant | Recipe | Key stats | Why this tier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Silver Sunflower + Golden Bean | 50 sun / 10s · coin cost doubles each copy | Top sun output, but the doubling coin cost limits how many you can field. | |
| Spikeicicle + Hearthrock (Odyssey) | 725 sun day / 650 night · 6,000 toughness | Great stall tool in its niche, but expensive for 100×2 damage. | |
| Cherry Bomb + Ice-shroom | 300 sun day / 225 night · 1,800 damage, 3×3 | Strong one-off explosion and freeze, but it is single-use (wiki name: Chilly Bomb). | |
| Blover + Doom-shroom | 300 sun · 180 damage/s, whole field | Quick burst of crowd control across the lawn; situational. | |
| Gatling Cherry | Gatling Pea + Cherry Bomb | 550 sun | Mostly a stepping stone to the S-tier Gatling Cherrybomber. |
D tier
Skip or fuse forward into something better.
| Plant | Recipe | Key stats | Why this tier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Peashooter + Cherry Bomb | 250 sun · 40 damage | Outclassed by its own upgrade, Cherry-bomber; fuse it forward. | |
| Scaredy-shroom + Starfruit | 175 sun day / 150 night · 20×5 | Low per-shot damage; community tier lists place it low. |
New 4.0.5 plants (unranked)
Version 4.0.5 added Super Gatling Gloom-shroom, Giant Spike King, Frost Threepeater and Floating Chomper. Their stats are not documented on the wiki yet, so they are left unranked rather than guessed. We will place them once the community has tested them.
Tips for using the tier list
- Economy first. Every S-tier plant is expensive. Get Solar-shooters or Twin Sunflowers running before you chase them.
- Check the mode. Odyssey fusions do nothing outside Odyssey modes. In Adventure, lean on Cherry-bomber, Doomwood, Infernowood and the B tier.
- Protect your damage. Put a wall such as Pea-nut, Drone-nut or Bamblock in front of high-cost attackers.
- Know the enemy. Some zombies hard-counter certain plants. See our PvZ Fusion zombies guide for counters.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best plant in PvZ Fusion?
For raw damage, Gatling Cherrybomber: it fires four 300-damage explosive cherries with a 3×3 splash for 950 sun, but only in Odyssey modes. Outside Odyssey, Cherry-bomber is the strongest burst damage you can field.
What is the best cheap plant?
Bamblock costs only 50 sun, has 1,500 toughness and recharges in 15 seconds. For sun, Solar-shooter (150 sun) gives both sun and damage.
Why are so many S-tier plants Odyssey fusions?
Odyssey (Ultimate) fusions are the late-game plants of PvZ Fusion and have far higher stats. They can only be made inside Odyssey modes.
Is this tier list for version 4.0.5?
Yes. It uses the 4.0.5 roster. The four plants added in 4.0.5 are listed as unranked until their stats are documented.
How do I make these plants?
Each tier table lists the recipe. For every combination in the game, see our PvZ Fusion recipes list.
